2000 Bibliography of Studies in Western American Literature

Compiled by Sarah M. Rudd

Welcome to our on-line Bibliography of Studies in Western American Literature. We gathered these citations from an index of over 50 journals covering topics in western literature, history, cultural studies, art, and so on. We also include citations of the books submitted to our book review editor. Oftentimes, you will find citations from 1999; this is because a journal’s actual publication date might differ from its scheduled release or because we only learned this year of a book’s release. Locate authors or subjects that interest you by using your search command. You may also choose to print a hard copy by downloading the bibliography to your hard drive and opening it with your word processor. If this fails, request a hard copy by sending $8.00 to the Bibliographic Editor, in care of Western American Literature.

Special thanks to Robert Brophy for his continued contributions toward our Robinson Jeffers section. If you have any recommendations for books or articles for next year’s bibliography or would like to help as a section bibliographic editor, please contact the Bibliographic Editor by November 1, 2001.
